Creation of SOLOVER.
Founded in 1976, SOLOVER S.A.S is a family-run business with its head office in St Romain le Puy (42).
The current director is Pierre-Yves VIAL, who took over from Yves VIAL, one of the founders of the company.
What started out as a personal adventure has been transformed into a truly epic industrial venture operating at a national level.
SOLOVER owes its rise to a never-ending search for innovation linked to its commitment to environmental protection.
The Champforgeuil site (71) came into being through the creation of a household glass processing plant. This plant has since been modernised several times and expanded through the introduction of colour glass separation and the sorting of heat resistant glass (since 2009).
SOLOVER becomes a pioneer in Europe in the separation of white glass from coloured glass and the extraction of heat resistant glass through the creation of its new household glass processing plant in St-Romain le Puy (42).
SOLOVER obtains the ISO 14001 environmental certificate for its site at St-Romain le Puy.
An additional facility is created in the St-Romain le Puy site for double glazing glass processing and glass crushing.
SOLOVER has a turnover of 12 million €, employs 35 people and owns 3 glass processing plants in France (2 plants for household glass and 1 plant for flat glass recycling) as well as 3 storage facilities.
